Emotion, fatigue, rain, sun, stories that intertwine: this is the ResegUp, Skyrace by ASD 2Slow now in its 9th edition. A unique race: from Piazza Garibaldi – in the heart of Lecco – up to the conquest of the summit (1877m) of Resegone, symbol of the city itself, and then back down to Piazza Cermenati. So 24km with 3600 m of total difference in height between round trip. This year 1,200 Skyrunners at the start that despite the encouraging weather forecasts had to deal with rain, sometimes hail and mud, which accompanied them for part of the already tiring climb and made them reach the finish only in 950.
\nPaolo Sala, president of ASD 2Slow, was very satisfied: “The race is confirmed as an appreciated and important event for the city. 1,200 competitors, with the bibs that this year have been practically snapped up a few hours after the opening of the registrations. Too bad for the weather, last year we were luckier, but not even the rain stops us, now we have shown it. Thank you very much to everyone for making ResegUp this wonderful show.”
